Monday, October 3 2016 #SoberanesFire Smoke Impact Forecast 67

This is the final forecast from the Soberanes Fire unless increased smoke impacts dictate their restart. Please consult airnow.gov and montereybaycleanair.org for observations and forecasts after today.

Forecast conditions represent impacts from smoke from the Soberanes Fire wildfire and other fires.  Contributions from ozone and other pollutants and other sources are generally not reflected.

Fire: Current fire acreage is 132,082, which is unchanged since yesterday. Current containment is 92%. Smoke impacts are brief and isolated as direct attack continues on the fire.

Air Quality Today: More of the recent cooler temperatures, higher humidity, and gusty winds will be seen today. Smoke impacts are similarly expected to be minimal as well. What impacts are seen are likely to be brief, and result in limited degradation of air quality, with the afternoon generally best.

Air Quality Tomorrow:  One more day of breezy winds out of the north, though temperatures will begin to gradually warm, and humidity gradually decrease. Smoke impacts are still expected to remain limited. Visit airnow.gov or montereybaycleanair.org for more information through the week as the warming and drying trend continues.
