Thursday, June 23 2016 New start named the #ErskineFire near Lake Isabella, see our blog for a photo of Friday's smoke forecast.

Tonight (Thursday) and early tomorrow: Smoke from the Erskine Fire is likely to pool into the Highway 178 corridor and may impact the Bakersfield area in the morning hours.  Tomorrow (Friday): The model indicates that smoke from the Erskine Fire near Lake Isabella will travel eastward and impact the desert communities of California City, Barstow, and Ridgecrest on Friday.
