Clouds, which are not included in most smoke forecast models, have moved over the forecast area, preventing the SW winds from clearing out the smoke as early as anticipated in our forecast. Smoke in Yreka, Hornbrook, and Shasta Valley may still clear out, but take longer to do so. Less cloudiness is anticipated tomorrow, which will hopefully allow the smoke to clear then.
