Air Quality Advisory
Unhealthy to Very Unhealthy Conditions
For the following areas:
HUMBOLDT COUNTY: Unhealthy to Very Unhealthy smoke levels for Orleans and Weitchpec. The areas of Hoopa and Willow Creek can expect Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups with periods of Unhealthy smoke levels.
Air quality has diminished with the arrival of offshore winds and smoke levels in these areas are forecast to remain for the next 48 hours. Smoke should disperse once the inversion breaks in the afternoon. Subsequent Advisories or Alerts will be issued should conditions change.
People are recommended to restrict outdoor activities when possible.
Symptoms that may be related to excess smoke exposure include:
• Repeated coughing
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Wheezing
• Chest tightness or pain
• Palpitations
• Nausea or unusual fatigue
• Lightheadedness
