Aug 4th, 2017 - Widespread Smoke and Haze over past couple days

Widespread smoke and haze, some of it pretty dense, has blanketed Oregon, Washington, and Northern California for the past couple days (Aug 2nd and 3rd).

Under hot, stagnant air like this, dense smoke will tend to hang around in the vicinity of large wildfires, with lighter haze and more moderate smoke in between. For a quick map of current conditions and wildfire locations go to the Airnow wildfire site:
