A new wildfire in the Santa Cruz Mountains, named the Loma Fire, is producing a very visible smoke column this afternoon, including to personnel on the Soberanes Fire.
Transport winds in the area look to turn northwesterly overnight, which could potentially create a situation in which some see smoke contributions from both fires.
