Friday, July 29, 2016 - From the NWS - Reno

From our Neighbors to the East: 9:45 AM Friday: The smoke and haze around the Reno area this morning was produced by four new wildfires (Rock, Sage, Seven Lakes and Tule) that started Thursday evening after thunderstorms moved through the area, On this satellite image, the clusters of red squares west of Pyramid Lake and east of Doyle, CA indicate the location of these fires, which currently range in size from 300 to 2500 acres.
