Monday, August 11, 2014 - Klamath National Forest Wildfires

Active Fire Behavior on the Klamath National Forest

Today's weather appears to have increased fire behavior on both the Beaver and Whites Fires on the Klamath National Forest.  Multiple large pyrocumulus could be seen throughout the day several miles away from Yreka, Ca, which is to the east of these fires.  The graphic below uses MODIS imagery to view the pyrocumulus, and shows the location of this activity relative to nearby air quality monitors.
