The Gap Fire on the Klamath National Forest in northern California is producing lots of smoke that can be clearly seen from satellite. A temporary smoke monitor has been placed in Yreka, Ca and has been recording high levels of smoke since it was installed. The fire was reported at 9,820 this morning, the latest information can be found on the fire's inciweb page.
