Chimney Fire Smoke Report

Over the
last few days smoke from the Chimney appears to stay localized in the San Luis Obispo
County area. One temporary smoke
monitoring station is located at Lockwood, Ca and has recorded a few hours of
high smoke concentrations, but yesterday’s 24 hour average was within the moderate
air quality category. This morning’s
smoke has largely remained in around Lake Nacimiento area the photo below shows the satellite visible smoke at 10:30 am today. Smoke began to lift out of area around 2pm on
Sunday and Monday and similar conditions are expected today. The fire is currently at 6,600 acres with 10%
containment.
