Forecast conditions represent impacts from smoke from the Rough Fire.  Contributions from ozone and other pollutants are not reflected.
Fire:  Fire growth was substantially less yesterday than seen the previous few days, but no growth estimates are available at the time of writing this report.   The north and east portions of the fire are approaching the tops of the ridges, where it is encountering rocky cliffs with less continuous fuels.  Some slow backing of the fire continues in the lower portions.  
Air Quality Today:    For areas east of the fire, smoke will beginning moving down the Kings River Canyon and into the San Joaquin Valley at 8 pm.  Smoke will begin clearing out of the valley at noon.  For areas west of the fire, smoke will begin building over the eastern foothills, beginning at noon, and settling into the valley overnight, and clearing in the morning.    
Air Quality Tomorrow:  A similar pattern as today’s forecast.
