Tuesday September 9th, 2014 Klamath NF Smoke Impact Summary

Yesterday Winds pushed smoke to the southwest much of the day. Conditions in Seiad Valley improved due the change in wind directions.  Smoke entered the Shasta Valleys in the late afternoon once the wind shifted.
Today Smoke is forecast to stay localized in areas around the fire with some transport to the Sacramento Valley. The Scott Valley is likely to see an increase in smoke concentrations today.  Low concentrations of smoke may enter the southern Shasta Valley by early afternoon.  A wind may shift and push smoke to the southwest for a few hours in the early evening bring smoke to the lower Klamath River drainage communities.
Tomorrow Conditions will be similar as yesterday.  Smoke will be pushed southeast and southwest throughout the day and may reach the Sacramento Valley.
