Friday, July 13 - #StoneyFire - Butte County - Air Quality Update

It was a smoky morning in Chico with the #StoneyFire in Bidwell Park. As of 2:00pm on Friday, July 13 the Stoney Fire was 650 acres and 20% contained. The Butte County Air Quality Management District released the following statement on Twitter: "The #StoneyFire will continue to create localized smoke impacts while the fire remains active. Smoldering overnight may cause smoke to spread into areas downwind of Big Chico Creek Canyon. Air quality in Chico is expected to remain in the Moderate range through tomorrow."
