||||
Fire: Moderate smoke production today on the
southeastern front of the fire. Burnout operations are possible today,
conditions permitting. Current perimeter is 94,736 acres, with 556 new acres.
Current containment is reported at 60%.
Air Quality
Today: Winds will be from the northwest and will increase to 6-12 mph
in the afternoon and evening. Transport winds will be from the north and will
take the smoke out over the ocean. The smoke may come back to the coast in
diffuse amounts farther south. Smoke drainage down the Big Sur River
Valley into Big Sur this morning will be light. The northwest winds should
minimize smoke plumes at Tassajara.
Air Quality Tomorrow: Northwest winds will be strongest in
the morning and will ease and shift to northerly by the end of the day. Overall
air quality will be similar to today.
