Forecast conditions represent impacts from smoke from the Rough Fire.  Contributions from ozone and other pollutants are not reflected.
Fire:  Fire remains active in three primary areas:  south of the Wishon Reservoir on the north side of the fire; in the Converse Creek drainage area; and in the South Fork of the Kings River west of Cedar Grove. The fire is now 77,287 acres and is 25% contained.   
Air Quality Today: Heavy concentrations of smoke are expected near the fire today.  Smoke will be slow to lift and transport will primarily terrain and diurnally driven.  Smoke that does rise out of Kings Canyon, will be slowly transported to the north. Unhealthy to Very Unhealthy conditions are expected in communities near the fire.     
Air Quality Tomorrow: Similar conditions are expected tomorrow, but with greater transport towards the northeast and east.  Impacts could occur in Owens Valley.
