Friday August 28, 2015 - Shasta-Trinity/Six Rivers NF AM Smoke/Air Quality Report

Friday August 28, 2015
Shasta-Trinity & Six Rivers Fire Complexes                                     Mike Broughton and Greg Hosburg

Forecast conditions represent impacts from smoke.  Contributions from ozone and other pollutants are not reflected.
Smoke Synopsis:    1000 Morning version
Complicated situation today from a smoke and air quality viewpoint.  Increasing cloudiness, humidity, then winds in advance of an unseasonably strong cold front that will come through Saturday morning and rapidly.  The clouds may delay or even prevent the mixing and clearing of smoke today in some locations.

Saturday after the morning rain looks to be much improved, except in areas closest to the active fires which may see some localized effects from continued smoldering.
