Wednesday September 03, 2014 Air Quality Summary for the Klamath NF Wildfires

Yesterday Winds pushed smoke to the Southwest which impacted the communities of the lower Klamath, Salmon, and Trinity River drainages.  Smoke also travelled northeast into Oregon.
Today Smoke is predicted to travel southwest down the Klamath and Salmon River drainages. This will bring smoke into communities west of the fire and the Scott Valley.  By mid-morning, smoke will be in the Redding area and some smoke throughout the Sacramento Valley in the early evening hours.  The Shasta Valley may get some smoke from a fire in Oregon, otherwise clean air.
Tomorrow Weather will be similar to the previous day.  Smoke is predicted to travel in a slightly more westerly direction.  This should keep smoke mostly out of the Shasta Valley and reduce concentrations in the Scott Valley.  Minimal smoke if any in Redding.
