Tuesday, August 12, 2014 - Klamath National Forest Wildfires

  1. Hi,
I really like the information you've compiled here. Can you point me to where you found the smoke dispersion forecasts? I am sending information to a research ship off the Calif coast that's doing air quality measurements and if they are likely to intercept a smoke plume that would be valuable information. Thanks,

  2. Hello Peter,

I apologize for the delay in responding to your comment. I am glad to hear that you enjoy the products we are producing. We are currently using BlueSky produced by the U.S. Forest Service's AirFire working group for smoke dispersion forecasts. The model outputs can be found at: http://www.airfire.org/data/bluesky-daily/ There are multiple modeling domains but, we tend to use the CA/NV 2km or CA/OR 1km depending on release time.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like further information,
