The San Joaquin Valley Air District has issued a new health caution for smoke from the Rim fire. The Health caution will be in place through the weekend for the air basin counties of San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Fresno and Tulare, especially the foothill and mountain areas. The District warns that if winds shift, Kings and the Valley portion of Kern counties may become affected as well.
