King Fire, September 19, 2014 Bay Area Smoke advisory
It is unusual that impacts from fires in the Sierra reach the Bay Area, but it happened under the easterly winds now in place for the weekend. Here's a map of the plume, based on satellite observations from the NOAA Hazard Mapping System Viewer:
