We have a booked vacation in South Lake Tahoe the week of 8/12. Can anyone provide a best guesstimate of the smoke conditions that week? We have until 8/5 to cancel the hotel. Thanks for anything
I have family near there and they aren't getting any smoke. I'm in Central (coastal) california and we have more here than most because the north wind blows it down toward us. The mountain range should keep the smoke from getting to tahoe unless the wind shifts and there's a strong enough storm to blow it there....but I haven't seen anything like that in the forecast.
Here at the 5 FWY and Redhill we had to close all the doors to our showroom and bring a worker in from outside, the smoke or haze here is a bit strong.
This is so sad and devastating for everyone affected. Some have lost everything, and are lucky if they managed to get reunited with their pet. With such loss of life, I do hope Trump pulls out all the stops to help the areas affected. Blaming those that manage the land is unforgivable.
how are the smoke and ash conditions at shasta lake right now? i am planning on renting a house boat there next week.
